Could you tell me what you did exactly whit your friends windows xp computer to get an 192 khz output?
thanks in advance!
I just install that driver from MSI site... and i get that option to select 192kHz.
Is that the link you gave me in your earlier post? (
http://download1.msi.com/files/download ... all_mb.zip) I've tried that one but here i haven't the 192 khz option, i have exactly the same realtek sound manager as my previous driver (the one from the driver disk from the motherboard)...
I've tried also the vista driver but i can't even do the setup. (maby of course because i use xp, but as you told i could try it). I've also tried the ALC889 driver, but gave me also the same sound manager screen whitout 192khz option...
Should i reinstall xp and then directly install that driver? (so the computer is "fresh agian" so it really has nothing in common with the old realtek driver)

Is your XP updated to the latest service pack? Early XP versions (I think up to service pack 2) did NOT support 192 kHz audio!
I use Windows Xp home edition Service Pack 3, legal en correctly activated version.
