If you don't need 192kHz Input and balanced I/O you can get that card too.
With MAYA you have 2 stereo I/O and good mic preamp with phantom.

Well, the only reason I wanted to buy a new sound card is for using it with Stereo tool.So you do understand what I'm looking for:Capability with Stereo tool and nothing else.I really don't care about inputs, phantom power etc.Any suggestion for a soundcard who does just that is welcome.

What is the price for that card ?
..Googling and i found mid price 150$

In that price range, MAYA44 PCI is better choice. Price is around 100€

Here's a link to the shop :
http://www.bax-shop.nl/inbouw-geluidska ... ucten.html
They have a real shop as well and thats in the city where my work is.
So the ESI Juli@ is € 130
the E-MU 0404 PCI is € 100

But as I just read the E-MU 0404 PCI has no Linux support so I'll go for the Juli@ wich is a shame as the EMu comes with nice software bundeled.

The Juli@ is probably better in quality anyway. Based on the responses that I got from others, those who used something else and switched to the Juli@ are all very enthousiastic about it.

I'm using the Juli@ as well, and it also contains some neat tricks in the driver: There's Virtual Audio Cable functionality built into it. Which can be VERY useful: You can use it to send output from any audio player through Stereo Tool. (VAC can also do that, but it doesn't work properly on Vista and it's not free).

maby a little bit off topic but i think nice to know:
The ASUS Xonar D1 has an 192khz output (according to the properties and manual of the card) but doesn't seem to work here. I've tried a lot, but somebody else whit this card couldn't get it working either. So i knew it almost for sure the Xonar D1 doens't work.

to hvz; another sound card you could add to the list of not working soundcards in the help page i think.

greets
