Hello!

We have 2 pc’s let’s call them A and B. Pc A is running automation and streaming to the internet, and pc B running ST. Both of them have ESI Julia’s. Pc A is running at 44.1 and pc B is running at 192khz. I connected them via spdif coax between A->B just so that I have the cleanest audio possible and it works well. I don’t know if this is a good thing to do because they are on different sample rates (therefore not synced?) and i think they both should be at 192 however as pc A is handling streaming I don’t know if I can do 192.

Does anyone know if this is the correct way to connect 2 Julia’s together?

I believe that i should go for 192 on both computers but is this going to make any problem on the pc that streams?

Also I read that spdif cable should be 75ohm’s however I have a high quality 110ohm cable that i would like to use it for a 0,5m distance. Is it going to create any phase difference or any other problem?

Thank you!

- PC A doing streaming? So what ST is doing on PC B?
- If you connect 2 soundcard with spdif (digital) one is INTernal and second is EXTernal and like that if first is 192 second will be also 192, and it must be same.

Pc A is running automation and stereo tool for streaming processing. Pc B is only for FM.
Pc A is currently at 44.1 and pc B is at 192.

Edit: I can hear some clicking sounds that are not very audible all the times but I think that this is because of the spdif not being synced. So is it ok if I change it to 192 on pc A?

What about the cable for the spdif connecting pc A and B is it ok to be 110ohms for a distance of 0,5m

edit 2: So i changed pc A to 192khz and it seems that the clicking noise is gone. Is there any software that i can confirm that both pc's are synced and digital is working fine? Seems to be ok for now.
