Hello!! I am looking to buy a sound card for fm broadcasting. I am using an ESI juli@ right now, but looking for a backup solution. I found this one: https://us.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-z Has anybody used this? Does RDS work? My second option is a Behringer umc202hd, but I prefer an internal card instead. Thanks!! |

Rule #1 for soundcards: Never use Creative Sound Blaster soundcards. Anything else is a better bet. It will work, but analog output is usually very bad. |

For me this is really only true if you leave their "enhancements" active. I mean, they offer direct passthrough on Z SE for example with ASIO. So it's bit perfect, even if it's analog.Lose all the enhancements for gaming and it sounds decent. Does it match Behringer or DANTE/REDnet? No. Is it okay for broadcast? yeah. |
