Hi anyone know how I can use Stereo Tool with GNU Radio (I thinking of using Stereo Tool as audio procesor and then feed this in GNu Radio (create a flowgraf with it) and feed everything into SDR Transmitter like HackRF

Best Regards and Thanks for Anwser

If it's possible to give live audio input to GNU Radio then the FM Stereo transmission is possible. Not sure though is the 8 bits enough to create a transmission? But according to this video it certainly is!

Here it seems that the GNU Radio is creating the MPX. So by letting Stereo Tool to handle the MPX generation you need to concentrate to transmitting it correctly on FM. Uh.. makes me want to have this HackRF soo bad :(

I've realized this a while ago, when hans has relased the first linux-version of ST with Jack-support, with GNURadio and an Ettus USRP-B100. My signal-path (which was composed in a shell-script) was:

mplayer -> jack -> stereotool l/r-in -> stereotool-mpx-out -> jack -> vlc media player -> stdout -> gnuradio-stdin-source -> usrp-sink -> ettus-b100

You have to built a GNURadio-Sketch with at least a simple level-adjustment to scale the mpx-output of ST to +-75 kHz deviation (for that, you need a modulation monitor). Set the samplerate in Jack and VLC to at least 128 kHz to get a proper MPX-signal to the USRP.

Good luck!
