OK, I'm a complete newcomer to this tool and I can't even figure out how to open an audio file for processing. There isn't any menu in the tool and I don't see any buttons for opening a file. I tried dragging an audio file to the application. That opens the app, but still not audio file to process. I can't believe I'm having this much trouble. I'm trying to see if the declipper will work for me because I have some audio issues in desperate need of fixing and the other tool I tried, iZotope RX just didn't seem to get me the results I needed. |

I've sent a reply by email yesterday, but I'll post it here as well in case anyone else has the same issue. Hello Tommy, If you want a version that can process a 16 bit .WAV file, there's a command line version of Stereo Tool (which includes the declipper) that can do this. See http://www.stereotool.com/ . Alternatively, you can use Winamp + the DSP plugin to cleanup audio (Winamp also has several disk writer plugins which write the result back to disk), or any VST host (there are hundreds of those). |
