I'm trying to use the beta VST demo with Sound Forge 9.0 ... the compressor works flawlessly in preview mode but either wipes the virtual file (the actual, saved file remains intact thankfully) completely or just plays one beat over and over when I try to apply it.

Don't think it's a resource problem (Intel Quad Core, 6GB 800fsb ram, a few hundred gigs of SATA 2 hard drive space) and I've tried all the usual suspect drivers -- direct sound, ASIO and wav through a E-MU USB 404 sound card.

Could, I suppose be XP64 ... but that doesn't seem to bother any other VST plugins running in Sound Forge. Likewise, could be flac files, but those don't seem to bother any other VST plugins either and if it were a file incompatibility issue shouldn't it show up in preview as well?

Or it could be an undocumented limitation in the demo, but I'm not about to buy the registered version until I know whether it will work in my system.

Any hints on how to fix this would be appreciated.

I'll have to look into this. It's definitely not a limitation of the demo, so don't buy it yet!

I've since tried it with Audition and it works fine.
