I'm looking to turn the FM stereo generator on/off externally. (The idea is, my automation should be able to call a script to disable the stereo generator just prior to airing long-form mono programming, then enable it again once said programming has finished airing.)

Seems to me this might be possible via the web interface. I was hoping to see that it could be done via a simple HTTP GET or POST request, but everything seems to be done in JavaScript, a language in which I'm not fluent.

I gather there's some sort of XML-based exchange happening between Stereo Tool and the web-based GUI, but so far have been unable to figure out how it works.

Anybody done something similar to this before? If so, any suggestions?

Keith, you can do it with this command:

http://[YOUR_ST_IP_ADDRESS_HERE]:8080/json-1/update{"113":{"new_value":"0"}}

Where values are
0 = Encode Stereo NO
1 = Encode Stereo YES

BR,
Janne
