Hello,

i have a question: Is it possible to make a Sound similiar the Sound of television commercials? I am not shure how to do this. If you move the loudness Slider to x 4 you get a very impressive Sound, but the Highs are not sounding like in the commercials.

Here is a sample commercial which sound i find very impressive:

Have i also to optimize the Sound manually before using StereoTool?

Thank you for your Help in advance

It sounds like the S sounds kick the other frequencies down to make room for them - which is actually the opposite of what you want for processing music.

I think you need a multiband compressor that responds strongly to S sounds on all frequencies. That's currently not possible in Stereo Tool - although I want to make it available after the big redesign.
For now, at least make sure that you have set the de-esser (in Loudness) to the maximum value, and turned Advanced Extreme Highs Protection OFF.

I had expected that you were describing a sound like what you hear on ProSieben, Sat1, RTL etc - but this sounds a bit different (I should add that I hear those other stations on my tv and I heard this on a different audio system). On those stations the S sounds in commercials also have some distortion in them that I didn't really hear in your sample.
To get that, I would try to use the 'Allow more distortion' slider in Loudness, but only for the high frequencies.

Hello Hans,

thank you for your answer. I didn't thought that this commercial is so special. The Sound of the Television Channels you Descripe isn't very good. If you have the Sound of RTL, its only Load. And if there is applause the compressor didn't seems to work fast enough.
