Hi,

Generally which is the most favourable position for Absolute Highs?

Before Multibands
Between Multibands
or
After Multibands

As currently I am not sure which is the best position for it to be set to.

At the moment I have it set to 'After Multibands', which I think is the default
value. But am not sure if it would be better at another position, and if so,
what the reason would be to have it at the alternative position.

Regards
Mark

Well... Before multibands will help with keeping the audio signal aligned more. If you put absolute highs after the multibands, the audio signal might have more overshoots.

For my settings, before the multibands sounds most natural. However, given the myriad of different combinations available within Stereo Tool, testing different locations with your settings will probably yield the best answer.

Thank you both for your replies.

I have decided to move it to 'Before Multibands', and it does sound better.

Also heeding the advice that in this position it will protect from possible overshoots,
seems the most sensible option.

Thanks again.
Mark
