 Post subject: RMS level mismatch

If one feeds enough 1s over a long time to a compressor then the level detection should obviously become 1 too, no matter if one uses max, mean, RMS or whatever to sense the level.
The ST analog RMS (compatibility) compressor however is off a few dB, peak mode is fine though. How can that be?

If I recall correctly, I've set it up such that the levels for sine waves are the same. That is not correct behavior, but it does make it a lot easier to switch between peak and RMS mode without big volume differences.
