I played around feeding some files to the command line version and found this:

Channel separation is set to 100%. Input is the same signal on both channels, then left and right output comply to 15bits. However giving the same signal as a mono file achieves only 2bits in comparison to one of the stereo channels before. Why is that?

Also no warnings appear if you feed e.g. 24bit files instead of 16 bit ones. Shouldn't there be one?

What do you mean by 'achieves 2 bits'? Currently I'm not checking the file header at all!

In short everything else than 16bit stereo will give unexpected results. I wasn't expecting this for mono.
