It doesn't have to be a problem - just look at the buffer filling, if it stays constant (not over multiple minutes but in a much shorter time frame) it should be ok.

The CPU load is higher, that means that the buffer filling will always lag behind slightly, and the resampler will try to compensate for that but it might not keep up. That's fine. As long as the buffer doesn't drain empty.

Hi Hans,

Yes I know and I understand all that.

I have managed to sort the buffer problem by not using ASIO drivers. This has improved the buffering significantly.

I am trying to work out the resampling quality setting and will post a separate thread as it's now getting off-topic from my original question.

You kids and your 8 cores. I have a dual core with 2gigs running ST and Simian and VAC. I can barely turn on multiband without losing buffer.
