Post subject: | Synchronize fm transmitters |
hello there, we are having issues with sychronizing our fm transmitters. We have our studio computer, which has audio going through stereotool, and stereotool also streams the audio towards 2 locations where our transmitters are. On both of the sites of the transmitters we have internet and a computer with stereotool receiving the audio and sending it to the transmitter. But the audio is not in sync - sometimes up to 30 sec of difference. I was reading that we need a gps receiver if it's a SFN , but our transmitters are both on different frequencies. Do we still need a gps to make sure the signal is synced? Thanks for the advice! |

Best way to do that is with micrompx. Process audio at studio and send via micrompx to 2 micro mpx decoders , each one at each transmitter. With that configuration you wil have all stereotool processing benefits and any issue with sync between 2 frequencies. |

On the 2 transmitter site, do: Into FM sound card tab, Set Buffer size to suffcient size. For ex if your stream is 320Kbps, but 10 sec buffer size. Enable Synchronize FM Signals with: Relative Adjust 5.00% Turbo 20.00% Resampling quality 32 Now your transmitter should be synchrone. If you have systematically a delay you can adjst slowly Extra delay on one transmitter to have both synchronized |
