My wife and I recently started an online station, The Ray Ford Show, which is meant to sound like 50s/60s AM radio, complete with a little static and the signal run through plate reverb like many top 40 stations of the era. We are both mid-century fans so this was a fun endeavor for us to do together. We are still developing content but the idea is basically here.

I'm using one of the vintage compressor VST plug-in emulators in the chain right before Stereo Tool. It's not perfect and occasionally overloads but for the most part I'm happy with it. I've toyed with the idea of using actual analog radio processing and feeding that back in, and may go down that road eventually.

An interesting spin (see what I did there?) on processing to fit the memories.
