Post subject:  Mac Computer Requirements
Until I am able to upgrade my MAC I'm stuck at 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or (depending on stability of install) upgrading to 10.7 Lion. I'll be using Radiologik and Nicecast and would really like to use Stereo Tool VST as a plugin for Nicecast. I placed Stereo Tool VST in my VST folder in [system - library - audio - plugins - VST], all other VST plugins as well as AU show as options for Nicecast but not Stereo Tool. I've written Rogue Amoeba creator of Nicecast just in case they have an answer but was hoping somebody here could help. :shock:

A while ago I contacted them as well regarding the same issue. Their reply:

"Nicecast's support for plugins is based on older Carbon based interfaces, which may explain why you're having that issue there -- it'd be the same case for Audio Hijack Pro 2. For Audio Hijack 3, we support newer 64-bit plugins with Cocoa interfaces, but specifically Audio Unit plugins."

The macOS version of Stereo Tool is based on Cocoa, so unfortunately at this moment Nicecast does not support the ST VST plugin.

Yep, I got the same reply via email. I have a ton of Waves plugins as well and here is the big but, they won't work in 10.7 so I'm stuck at 10.6.8 until a newer Mac is affordable. Thinking it might be my OS as well because I can't get stereo tool to list in my plugins for logic pro or pro tools or audacity. :cry:
