That's not vac, and afaik, Breakaway pipeline will cause "noise" if not used with Breakaway products atleast at one end.

I heard that (no sound with the synchronize option enabled) more often lately, I'll have to check if something is wrong with it.

I also have this when the in/out-buffer is set very, very small. But with bigger ones, no problem, besides way higher CPU ;)

BBP-Pipeline is a (rather old) custom-version of VAC.

You're right, but you can avoid it by leaving the BBP-I/O-Config-Window open in the background

Hi Hans,

Just to inform you that I tested this on another system, and also over there I'm getting silence when I activate that option. (version 7.03, standalone)

cheers

Aah! I found out what's wrong. It works with FM output but not with normal output, and normal output (that's the real problem here) is replaced by silence.

The reason for this is that I originally made this synchronization for the DSP plugin version, and to be able to synchronize I'm not returning data to the DSP host, the synchronization disabled that output. This has good reasons, BUT it should not be done in stand alone mode.

I don't see why you actually need that synchronize option.

As i see, you only want to stream and process that with ST. If i am right..

- You need VAC - Fixed Sample rate 44.1/16bt
- EdCast Standalone or whatever program you prefer.
- Good soundcard for ST input (if analog inout is used)

There will be no any under/overflows, atleas it's not normal to be, except at ST start. You can also try to set Asio and done with any possible buffer problems. One of EdCast versions is Asio,so you can check that.
Btw, On all my Processing PCs i have VNC (primary) and TeamViewer as backup.. and i never got problems with that.
Also, It's important that u use WinXP 32 or atleast Win7 32bit. NOT 64bit OS!

What's processing there for stream? contact-dance.com

"Btw, On all my Processing PCs i have VNC (primary) and TeamViewer as backup.. and i never got problems with that."

I also didn't had any problems with that before, till last week, where teamviewer caused this problem.Normally we have the "standard out" configure to a 'dummy' vac entry...so system sounds (which are disabled), are going to this one..just in case of.
So is teamviewer..but suddenly (since last update somehow), he switched to another VAC , which was being used for the 'live system'. even when he shouldn't generate any sound anyway, it was still generating problems.
Now, this problems was resolved by : 1) not using the teamviewer anymore :) (meaning: it is still there as backup, running, but no connections), 2) switching the output again to the 'dummy' vac entry.

"I don't see why you actually need that synchronize option."
don't think that it's needed for me.

"- Good soundcard for ST input (if analog inout is used)"
The soundcard is only used for ouput to FM.
All the rest is VAC (for stream contact-dance.com)
It's actually "audio software" -> VAC1 -> Stereotool standalone to -> 1) vac2 for stream1/stream2 2) soundcard for FM.
(just for your information :) )

I guess nobody will understand me now :)

I understand...
I though you use only for stream..
Anyway it's always good idea to have separate Stereo Tool for Stream and FM because pre-emphasis.
