Hey Y'all, I'd like to know which distro of Linux to use for best operation of this software. Windose reboots after updating, causing loss of transmission. A Linux box would be preferred. Thanx :ugeek:

You can of course turn those automatic updates off in Windows.

I've tested it myself with Ubuntu, but it should work with any version. Small word of caution: My build is currently 32 bits, not 64 bits. You can still run it on 64-bit Linux, you'll just need to install more (32 bit) libraries.

And there's no sound card support, currently Stereo Tool for Linux only supports file based processing and piping - you can use "arecord | stereo_tool | aplay" to get around that. MPX output is only supported if the input sample rate is high enough!

At some point in the (not too distant) future I want to switch to some OS-independent sound card control, which will then also work on Linux. But it's not at the top of my list.

Thanx for your prompt reply, much appreciated. I had already considered turning off automatic updates. You have kindly confirmed this.
Problem solved.
