What happens if you try Stereo Tool 6.00 on the same system? Can you check the CPU load (per core)? And what happens if you check the buffer filling in the sound cards window?

This shouldn't be a solution, but:
- What happens if you set the priority to normal instead of high?
- What happens if you disable multicore?
