Trying to setup TRE with Stereo Tools to use the UECP protocol.
This seems to be a strange and archaic animal.
Is there a clear cut explanation of how to make this work?
Thanks.

P.S. Im still researching this.

UECP is a standard which was designed by the same group (the RDS Forum) that created RDS. The last update is from 2023, and that update describes how to send logo's and slide shows to RDS. There are other ways to talk to RDS encoders, but they have 2 major issues: 1. They aren't standardized, so each RDS encoder interprets and handles them differently. 2. There's just no way to send things like images, traffic information etc that way. So, I highly recommend using UECP if you want to talk to any RDS encoder remotely.

So I'm using Broadcast Electronics TRE Program to send UECP to Stereo Tools Ver 10.41 and for the life of me I cannot get the PS field to work.
How could I setup TRE and or Stereo tool to play nice with each other?
RT works just fine, just cant get PS to work.
Thanks

That's really weird. If one thing works, everything should work since it's a standard. Can you record the PS command in something like WireShark and send me the packet that TRE sends?

According to my Wireshark Captures there is no PS text being sent, at least not seeing my TEST PS message i setup, I do see the RT message go thru.
Weird as heck.

PS text should be readable just like RT in the packets. So yes, that's really weird. But at least now you know on which end the problem is...
