When ever I play lossless files (winamp) with my stereo tool running, the song plays for like 1 second then everything stops.
I can still see the stereo tool is moving and stuff but its like no sound come through to winamp.

hi Dmaxon,
I just played some FLAC files thru winamp .. and here all plays good.

For start try:
- Install latest Winamp (if it's alredy not lates)
- Install your favorite latest Codec pack for windows (i recommend k-lite mega codec pack)

If lossless songs still not working, please post one of these songs here so i can try play them.

Still, this is probably a combination of input plugin (your lossless playback plugin and) DSP plugin (Stereo Tool). There was a similar problem in the past with WAV files if you pressed a button (for example STOP) - that would cause Winamp to hangup.

So, can you tell me which lossless input plugin you're using (or what type of file you're playing)?

I'm having the same problem with FLACs and also AACs. I'm using Nullsoft's decoders for both and the Directsound output:

Nullsoft FLAC Decoder 2.09
Nullsoft MP4 Demuxer v2.0
Nullsof MPEG Audio Decoder 4.9

MP3s work fine. When I try to play MP4s or FLAC files through stereo tool, I get maybe 2.5 seconds of playback and then the audio cuts out. You can still see stereo tool (and winamp) processing the audio (made evident by the visualizers still moving along to the music) but the output won't come back until you stop and restart playback on the file or a different file, and then only for 2~3 seconds.

I can get the audio back by turning on "Low Latency" but then it's choppy and unlistenable

But seriously this is a great plugin and I think it's awesome regardless. Just wishing I didn't have to turn it off when listening to my FLACs and AAC/MP4s!

I *think* I have a fix for this issue. I was having similar issues with .WAV files (if I pressed STOP while playing one, Winamp would hang), and that's no longer the case now.

Download the BETA2 on this page for the update (online since 1 minute, so if you downloaded it before, please do so again):
