Hello, just installed and entered my license key into the VST3 plugin for stereo tool and works great at first (basic + declipper), but whenever I close my DAW and reopen it, it says the license is invalid and I have to recopy my registration key again to remove any beeping again. I'm not expecting to have to do this every single time I open the program, so what is up?

This is a specific error that I don't know anything about. Hans and team will be back from the tradeshow next week, I believe, and he can look into it at that point.

A little searching says it doesn't have anything to do with the license not being stored, but that something else is wrong. That's all I know.

You can try the latest Beta in the stickied News topic to see if it's been solved since the latest official release. As of this writing, it's 10.41-002.

Okay, I can wait - I don't know if I need to do anything else or they will just come to this post eventually when they're back.

I'll point them here. You shouldn't need to do anything until they likely ask you to send your ini file in for examination.

What version of the ST plugin are you using exacty? And in which DAW, on which OS, 32 or 64 bit?

Also: sometimes the plugin needs to have done something (anything, like seeing a piece of audio or any settings change) for it to be able to check its license.

Well, I assume I'm using the latest - I downloaded the VST3 at the start of this week. I run it 64-bit through Mixcraft 10 Recording Studio, which is for Windows 11.

I looked up your license key and I think the problem is that there's a + in it. It's not the only one, but there are only a few, and most of those were trial licenses - users might never have noticed the issue. I'll send you a new key - please give me the name you want me to use (the current name is actually too generic, if this leaks out it's totally unclear who the licensee is).

If that fixes it we'll look into our code to solve the issue.

(Not relevant, but here's what I think happens: At some point the name is URL-encoded, and I think we're just keeping the +, which in URL-encoding means space. If that name is decoded it doesn't match the name in the license key).

Thank you very much. Give it the name "Finn W.C. - Stereo Tool".
