This needs to be heard... We need answers...
So, we've been using a licensed version of Stereo Tool and the day before yesterday the message "This sound processed by Stereo Tool" blew across the air right out of nowhere. My boss looked like he was about to break something. He confirmed the license was correct and we made sure unlicensed features were disabled. Well, about 3 hours ago it blew across open air again. This time he grabbed a drill and slammed it through a monitor, (don't pass judgement, he's human and this is beyond infuriating). He walked out, then came back 20 minutes later and said he was going to buy an Optimod and would grab a new monitor. He asked me to make contact with Stereo Tool and find out why that is happening. I doubt it even matters at this point, but I'm following his direction. I think it's embarrassing that such a message would go out over the air like that. As a coder I understand security, but this is sloppy. ANYTHING that can interrupt a live broadcast like that shouldn't be in the software, FIND ANOTHER WAY!.. It would be better if it just cut out than to make an announcement. I think any station that's not streaming & is actually live on the air should probably avoid using this until that's changed, as it's just too large of a risk that this will happen. Why is this happening and how can it be FIXED, as in NEVER, EVER able to happen again?
