Please add the new RDS2 function to the stereo tool! Including downloading radio station logos! Thank you! https://www.radioworld.com/tech-and-gea ... -with-rds2 |

With an RDS2 encoder I wrote myself and some ALSA mixing my station now broadcasts RDS2! If only there were standalone receivers I could test it with... |

There can be 3 extra carries, actually. https://www.rds.org.uk/2010/WhyRDS2.htm But, are there any receivers that can decode it? Very little appears to happen, I see very little news about it. |

Some newer car radios can display album art. Right now I'm just transmitting my station logo but have no way of testing my RDS2 implementation. (I'm not using Stereo Tool's encoder)

Someone has to make a move in order to see more receivers. I would love to see it into ST. |

if it took 30 years for RDS to be accepted and in nearly every radio then RDS2 will never make an appearance. Besides... losing %4 mod isnt anything to worry about... losing 12% mod is a big difference. Dont get me wrong.. I have pushed RDS2 for 10 years but The horse has bolted on this one |

Not just that, but all the extra power is at high frequencies > 60 kHz, which means that it increases your RF bandwidth. So it will hurt your reception, and it can cause interference with other stations, and potentially even with HD radio in the US. I assume that those things will have been tested though. At this point I don't see a good reason to spend time on this. |

You may be right, but in marketing it is new products that create demand, although this will not be a necessary function, but it allows the buyer of your software to be the best and most modern, and also to distinguish you from other competitors! This is a huge plus in terms of work for the future! Perhaps only you can support and implement RDS2 all over the world, thanks to your program! TNX! 73!
