It is obvious that the stereo tool has evolved very well lately, but I think it needs something more. My suggestion is to have a function at the end of the sound that adds more punch to the sound, this would help a lot in case there is a higher density on the music, or a higher stereo boost. From what I noticed in these situations, ND can no longer cope. |

I've been playing around with putting a second VST of Stereo Tool in my chain with subtle ND effects before the clipper. I guess it does the trick. I imagine the dynamics detection is affected by the compressors it follows in the signal chain, but I don't have the ear to tell. I guess I'll play around with that more. edit: If we could get the ORIGINAL detection from the first instance of ND into a later instance of ND, that probably solves that issue. fantasy: I hope the upcoming new UI allows for a more "effect drop-in" where one might clone filters or place things elsewhere in the chain. |
