Hans,
StereoTool has been stable and sounding good for 2-3 months now, with no further tweaking.
BUT, last night I tried to play some mp3's and the sound from ST was faint and tinny. I checked all the settings and then I put on the bypass and used winamp alone and the files played fine. Also the 'visit site' button did not work nor the 'help' button. I just checked it again and tried to play and had the same problem.
:( When might the new full version be ready?

Thanks,
Celeste

Are you still using one of the BETA versions? Version 5.02 has been online for about a week now. Please let me know if you have the same problem with that version - it could indicate a crash somewhere inside Stereo Tool (which could lead to all kinds of weird behavior).

Did you do anything special before this occurred?

No I can't think of anything I did, I have not had to play with ST for a long time now. And yes I did download the new version. I might have to do a complete uninstall.

Do you still get this thin sound after restarting it? If so, please send me your dsp_stereo_tool.ini file...

Doing a complete uninstall is useless (it only removes the DLL file), just remove that .ini file and you're back at the initial settings.

OHHH...

Reinstall did not work. And the settings were good before!
I can remove the settings file but I'll have to try to remember the settings I was pleased with!

Can you send me those settings first? I might be able to spot the error immediately... (It's probably a single setting that got corrupted - since it re-appears when you restart Stereo Tool it also must be in that .ini file; Stereo Tool doesn't store any data anywhere else.)

Sorry, I did not see your post and I already deleted all the old settings, but when I did the reset the problem went away. I think the DIFF was accidently checked, do you need that?
One remaining problem is that I cannot access the website in the app.

Any idea which DIFF? And did pressing RESET solve it, or did you have to remove the .ini file?

What do you mean by accessing the website in the app???

There are a few buttons that should fire up a page in your browser, do you mean that that doesn't work?
