This is caused partially by the processing that introduces latency, and partially by Winamp that doesn't allow specifying a lateny (if I could tell Winamp that there's a latency it could just remove the start).

The command line version (not yet available for the 5.00 BETA's) does take this into account, but for the Winamp plugin it's just not possible.


(*) Some processing steps, like the AGC, Multiband, singleband, AZIMUTH correction and Stereo Boost, could be done with 0 latency, although they would be less effective. However, all the other processing (noise gate, stereo image including the 90 degrees angle, hard limit, final limiter, loudness, multiband clipping, bass boost) needs a delay. They don't work on a single sample, but on a larger block of samples. And near the edges of such blocks they cause artifacts (so I have to remove those edges).
Ok, it looks like I'll just have to wait for the command line version. Thanks.

Awesome. I just grabbed it, and the settings below are giving me a file 100% identical to the original. Changing Extra phase shift to 0.5 should be all I need to do.

Interestingly enough the peak levels on the right channel changed a bit, I suppose due to the dither.
