Has anyone seen this one? It looks promising - 4 balanced stereo inputs and outputs. The manual and specs don't mention ASIO support, which seems odd. And the price is pretty high (especially the breakout cable).

Hans,

There is no mention of ASIO at all in the manual.

181euro is probably the price of the breakout cable ;)

As I see it in here: it's the breakout cable. The analogue version of this sound card will be 484,94 excl. Dutch tax... http://www.tripleaudio.nl/nl/product-se ... rt+sonifex
The Marian Trace 8 is cheaper, but normal PCI.

O crap! I looked too fast... I found that same site, but I saw the image and name of the card and the 181 euro price, didn't read any further. :(

I'll change the title and remove the word 'cheap'.

Btw: Wow. Marian charges something like 20 euro for their breakout cable.

Lynx Studio is finally coming up with 2 new PCIe cards as well: The E22 and E44. Even more on the high-end side but the sound quality is very good.
E22 has stereo analog I/O and stereo AES I/O and E44 is 2 stereo I/O and 2 stereo AES I/O.

The E44, available December 2014, has a suggested retail price of $1095. The L22 suggested retail price is $795 and will be available in Q1 2015.

Wooh. :(

Lynx is good but the price is higher that a giraffes balls. The Sonifex uses ASIO4All as drivers and does not have direct asio input. Just hard the beat the value Marian and ESIJuli offers. Cheers.

So.. what about any cheap and good performing 192kHz sound interfaces, maybe USB? Maybe OEM version without enclosure?
