forgot about that setting will try again tomorrow morning
I have just discovered that when using high input sample rates (which is usually the case when using the stand alone version for FM output), some filtering steps were skipped. This caused the output to be very unclean. I've turned them on now (I think, I need to do some tests later to see if I didn't skip anything this time), unfortunately this increases the CPU load further. I'll upload a new version in about an hour.

So you might need to set the quality to Normal from now on.

You mean putting some black space around it? It does indeed make things a lot clearer, I'll see if I can fit it in there somewhere.

I've just uploaded a new version where I think I have improved the quality a bit more, there are more lows and highs now, and especially the highs are cleaner. (The lows might be too loud for some sounds, but it does sound better this way for almost all sounds.) Theoretically this change should increase the "unnatural" highs again, but I've done some quick comparisons and measurements and it looks like that's not the case.

i mean to put some line like thay gray ...
now if you set output to 1.00 you can't see any peek over 100% output sound (e.g. hard limit is off), and this way you can see peeks over 1.00 (100%)....

... if any :)

but if i think twice ... i dont see any situation where the Hard limit option will be off. so no peeks over 100% on output.

i don't know what are you do with loudnes but for my taste i keep loudnes set on 1.90 on v3.53, but in this last two betas i can set it at 2.20.

Update:

I liked the small black bar so I've added it anyway.

Also, when no MPX output is generated, the MPX display disappears and the two wave displays get more space.

Minor update:
- Fixed a bug which caused flickering in the wave display
- Slightly (on average 0.1 dB) reduced the bass sounds, only when no loud highs are present. This reduces the "unnatural highs" that were mentioned before, and in some cases it also slightly reduces distortion caused by low frequencies. (for very high Loudness values).
- Console version is finally working now. Available at http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... d_BETA.exe

I'm planning to release this version tomorrow.
