Bug with liquidsoap: If the .sts file contains the language settings, liquidsoap crashes. If I delete the "Language=....." line from the .sts file, liquidsoap starts fine. The affected version is 10.20, but most likely the current beta is also affected. |

I don't know if it's relevant, but which language was selected?

Don’t know if this is the place, but I have a recommendation/request: Would like to see a “reference level” slider in Stereo Tool that would tell the system what levels to expect for those using LUFS, RMS or peak level normalization on their audio files beforehand. (I believe this is how Orban Optimod does it) Maybe have a check box button that says “files coming into processor are pre normalized” and then a dropdown box where you can select between what type of normalization is used (like RMS, LUFS, or peak level) and a level slider that you can match to what level using so the system knows exactly what to expect from the input. So if I’m using -23 LUFS, I would select “LUFS” and set the slider to -23. Or if I’m using -6dB peak level, I would select “Peak level” and slide the slider to -6. I understand that with audio processors, especially with the new adaptive compressor in ST, have a wide range of acceptable levels that work just fine, but in order to take additional strain off of the processor, limit artifacts, and be right within your audio sweet spot, I could see this being beneficial. Yes, I’m OCD about my levels — everyone who knows me knows this to be true. I just want to ensure the absolute best quality for my listeners. So I strongly hope this concept or something similar is considered. Thanks, MNDXer1049. |

Its already there, since version 0. Called Pre-Amplifier. It's very simple, you load preset, you normalized files, you know on what level you normalized, let's say -23lufs., then just rise that slider by 23dB.Yes, I’m OCD about my levels — everyone who knows me knows this to be true. I just want to ensure the absolute best quality for my listeners. So I strongly hope this concept or something similar is considered. Thanks, MNDXer1049. But there is better way. If you want perfectly to be on input, and so for processing, and you play ONLY normalized files, set that slider where AGC will have maximum 1-3dB range (showing 1-3 bars from top) on loudest parts in track(s). Here RB plays all files at -23LUFS. In this preset/case i tuned pre-amp so AGC working very little. Btw, normalization is not so ideal thing and AGC is there more like level protection. https://i.imgur.com/1r8BsXb.png |

Quote: Quote: Quote: Hungarian language is selected. However, a crash occurs if any language is selected. Even if I set a non-existent language manually in the sts file. If there is nothing after Language= it crashes too. I have to completely delete the Language line to make it work. Edit: Not sure what's going on... In debug mode everything works. Re-testing everything now. |
