I'm considering a change in how this works. Since I don't want to have to post 5 different images (MicroMPX encoder, MicroMPX decoder, Stereo Tool, and the new PiMP and STAMP that we'll add soon), it makes more sense to make it possible to switch to a different product on the same page where you update versions and select a sound card. That way we can create our image to contain all the different programs, and you can jump between them without having to upload an installer every time.

We can have separate installers for different products, and when you upload an install file, it will install itself for that specific product, which then becomes available as a selectable product.

Will think about this a bit more...

Hans,
Keep also the possibility to upload a new version, when you publish a new version :-)

We've brainstormed about it this morning and have come up with an idea that will work and only have benefits. Working on it now!

Done!

Updated IMAGE file:
https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thimeo_Pi34.zip
Please note: This image file still ONLY contains MicroMPX. I can't create an image file without taking the SD card out of the Pi, which I'll do on Monday morning. The new image.zip file will also be a bit smaller.

Updated INSTALLER files (These require the new image!):
One big installer that contains everything: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-040.zip

MicroMPX Decoder only: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-040.zip
MicroMPX Encoder only: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-040.zip
Stereo Tool only: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-040.zip
PiMP only: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-040.zip

Update: I've just updated the image file - you can still use the same link, https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thimeo_Pi34.zip . The file is now under 300 MB in size and it contains working versions of all the different software packets. Uploading updates is also a lot faster (the upload code was extremely inefficient, which caused uploads to take a lot more time than it should - that's solved).

Thanks! This is very useful feature.

Now when you have working upload mechanism, could it be handy to upload a backup mpx -file too via web browser? And when working with backup, could there be a button called "REC" that dump a current stream to file and that can be used as a backup ;) Or as a "one shot tool" would be a command line parameter on decoder that would dump the file. Decoder is the good place to dump the stream because there everything is onair-ready: right audio+RDS.

BR,
Janne

In case anyone was unable to unzip the image file: Turns out that Windows only supports the least optimized compression methods that are part of Zip nowadays. I've re-uploaded the same last night, but now it's 440 MB instead of 295...

@Janne: Uploading audio files is definitely on our todo list! I wanted the most important things to work first. The other things might be useful as well...

The next installer that we'll upload (BETA044) contains a new product: STAMP (Stereo Tool AM Processor). Of course you can use Stereo Tool for that, but this makes it a bit easier to use. Some people with AM stations have asked for an AM-specific solution, and we have that now. (Well, tomorrow, probably).

STAMP only: https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thi ... 92-044.zip

"STAMP" (Stereo Tool AM Processor) is our new AM-processor. Some people with AM stations have requested this to make it easier to setup. It can ONLY be used as an AM processor.

New IMAGE file with BETA044 installed, including STAMP:
https://www.stereotool.com/download/Thimeo_Pi34.zip

It starts up with MicroMPX Decoder, to select another program, go to System Info, and select the program that you want to run there.
