Hans, is there a new beta version after the 9.40 release available for download?
No, not yet.
It seems that there is already a Beta Version for stereo tool 9.41 (https://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp ... 41-003.exe). May we know what are the recent changes?

The new beta's are work-in-progress, which is why I didn't make a post for them yet. There are bugs in the latest versions, among others they system tray icon is broken.

Anyway if you want to download it anyway, this is what changed so far:
  • STX: Adjust ranges of band mix, output level etc to max 6 dB. Say -3 to +3 dB. For other settings check ranges in existing presets, also for attack/release speeds etc.
  • STX: Lock CPU usage (should be easy), and maybe also latency?
  • "No heavy CPU processing": Change the behavior to a step lower for Peak mode in "sane" mode.
  • Declipper GUI bugs
  • Low latency half-HQ mode?
  • PhoneBooster improvement. Add maximum.
  • Reduce CPU load as tried at IBC, at least for STX
  • PhoneBooster add auto EQ/compressors?
  • PhoneBooster: Fix AGC display (right 2 bars need to disappear)
  • PhoneBooster: Add new settings
  • "Ignore high frequencies" does not work properly anymore for streaming presets in the last few releases
  • Pi version MicroMPX build (Model)
  • Pi version Stereo Tool crashes (9.40)
  • PhoneBooster: Added presets, and standard neutral preset
  • PhoneBooster: Made singleband compression visible in top bar
The CPU usage setting is probably the most interesting, if you set it to "Sane", heavy settings won't be so heavy anymore. This will for example lower the CPU usage of dynamic attack/release speeds in peak mode, or insane declipper or clipper settings.

On 9.41 BETA 004, CPU usage seems to be a little bit higher (about 3 to 5 percent) than the release version of 9.40.

Sometimes in Beta versions they enable extra logging and that uses more CPU. Not saying this is the case, but it's what I've understood in earlier instances.
