- Analog Compressors: Added "RMS size" slider, which makes it possible to use true RMS detection. Not sure yet if this is useful, if not I will remove it again.
Is RMS size = 0 actual peak detection, i.e. 1 sample?
I would like to try peak compression with the same level detection curve as RMS: When a sound jumps from below the threshold to above, peak level detection goes from the
threshold to the louder sound while RMS goes from the quiter sound to the louder one. The latter is what I would want to test with peak compression, too.
The way the compressor works, RMS size = 0 is the old behavior which is 1 sample which is already RMS-ish! But some people asked for *true* RMS detection. So far, the effect of setting RMS size higher seems to be very small (which is kinda good, because it means that the old detection was indeed very close to RMS). But setting is > 0 should give more accurate RMS detection.
