Stereo Tool 9.22 is available!
  • Advanced Clipper: Improved handling of highs, lower frequency highs get priority. Sound is much "tighter", more controlled.
  • Advanced Clipper: Distortion Protection highs clipper also gives priority to lower frequency highs.
  • Advanced Clipper: Distortion Protection had one stage that didn't protect against holes caused by loud highs.
  • Advanced Clipper: Changed Bass/Highs default value from 400 to 200.
  • Bug fix: One CPU affinity mask setting was set incorrectly.
  • RDS: AF method B: Support for multiple frequency lists, for when a signal with AF method B data is retransmitted on other frequencies.
  • RDS: RT+: "Item active" bit was used incorrectly, causing some receivers to temporarily switch between RT and RT+ views on changes.
  • Linux: Opening GUI window failed sometimes, should be fixed now.
  • Added version number to DLL's.
  • Updated some presets.

In Both multibands under Behavior, next to Ratio (it's called max ratio or m. ratio there).

Make sure the "Operating mode" setting under Configuration is set to at least "Advanced". It then should look like this:

Great! Note that you can use ratio but not max ratio without the dynamics license.

Can someone update the Documentation?

Can someone update WatchCat? The current version 1.2.4 was built Jan 19 and ST 9.22 was released Jan 20.

I just tested with the Dutch Chocolate Moose Europe FM preset and the WatchCat processed file sounds different than in MediaMonkey running ST 9.22. The processed file has more sharp highs when in MediaMonkey the highs are more softer.

It's the same version (the build takes long). Maybe there's a difference in settings? Could it be that you're comparing FM processed (pre/de emphasized) audio with non-FM processed (streaming output for example)?
