Something doesn't make sense though yet. Since you said you can lower the full signal by 15-20%. That means that the RDS signal is getting better across the noise floor of the transmitter. What level are you setting it at exactly? Can you try with no other audio, to rule out everything else? |

Ahaaa, i choose a cable that is 192Khz enabled and waveform appear now. Ok, i don`t understand why the input must be 192Khz, when audio for input stream is 44100 or 48000 ? From Winamp or other player or Automation soft. The most audio sources are MP3 or FLAC, which are 99% 44100 or 48000 and nothing more. This is some and i think this is why those "sides" are there - sample rate difference may be ? Music is 44100, uMPX is only accept 192KHz, otherwise it not pass any sound.... Something is not like it should be (or at least for me isn`t) |

I don`t see MPX signal on the right , am i missing something ? This is the Encoder, input is a Virtual cable on 192Khz, source is from Winamp . This is what i have in Encoder... ANy butoon for enabling MPX processing? I don`t see any I don`t see any field for IP , in the Decoder. How it will connect to the Encoder without this ?

@DJ_DOGGY: MicroMPX is a codec to transfer an MPX signal, not left/right audio. Hence the 192 kHz input, and the fact that you don't see any MPX (the input must be MPX already). |

I figured this out, Hans. But the Decoder on another PC is not "receiving" anything, no waveform Also no IP field to enter. Only port 8854 and that`s it. How it will point to the right address ? I open Decoder, set Output sound card, but no Waveform.. P.S: I FINALLY got it. IP is in the Encoder and must point "remote address"... Strange... Instead of receiving side to "ask for" connection... And here is my picture with side effects. 15000Hz lowpass, allmost "touching" the RDS, just a little more aaand... But looks OK

Not strange... the purpose is not to have a server that listeners connect to, but one stream that goes to all the transmitters. Which could be using multicast (1 stream that reaches all the transmitters at once, without needing extra bandwidth). Or for example via satellite, where you only have 1-way communication. But the Decoder on another PC is not "receiving" anything, no waveform Also no IP field to enter. Only port 8854 and that`s it. Hm, that's a weird one. Apparently the contents of one packet arrived with a change, and then 2.4 seconds of data were gone. Which is very odd especially on the same pc - could something like a virus scanner have interfered maybe?2018-07-21 07:44:30.854 warning: Buffer empty: had to jump blocks (from 1 to 0). Did not hear the outcome of the loss but the packet speed after recovery goes negative - RX was fine so assume cosmetic more than anything?? The packet speed is no problem - it's supposed to go negative after an issue until we have a reliable number again. Those speeds actually shouldn't be logged - but we were extensively testing those (they need to be accurate upto 6 digits), so we added the logging recently. We'll remove it before releasing this version. What do you mean by RX was fine? That seems to mean that nothing went wrong but you also said you didn't hear it? I *think* it played 2.4 seconds of silence. I'm just wondering what could have killed these packets on a loopback connection. Just to make sure: If you say you used the local address of the machine, I assume you mean its actual address, not 127.0.0.1 right? I think the packets still go through your actual network in that case. Is it on a cabled network or on Wifi? |
