OK running it like this: MicroMPX_BETA902-011 -c 8854
it gets to License request code stage then it crashes (what license lib are you using?, if running it with MicroMPX_BETA902-011 --license info I get a readme and Warenty it aphears it you are using open source libs in it, is this allowed?(what did you use beside portAudio?))

not sure what logging you added, because it does not make any sense to me :)
Ah. So it got beyond the point where it's calculating the license code. (I added all those "L1", "L2" etc. lines to see how far it would get). But, a few lines after that it should already print "Starting CLIENT" and it doesn't. I'll add.... more logging.....

started it the same as before with MicroMPX -c 8854
Code:
This is MicroMPX 1.4.0b2.
Start with no options for usage info.

Start with --licenseinfo to read 3rd-party library licenses.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MicroMPX is a command line tool. You need to start it from the command line,
with arguments to control its behavior.

To make it listen to a specific port (for example 8854), use -c 8854.
If you only have 1 192 kHz capable sound card it will automatically use that.
Otherwise, use -a to set a sound card. Use -l for a list of sound cards.

So first:
micrompx -c 8854 -l

Then pick the right sound card and use something like:
micrompx -c 8854 -a 4
micrompx -c 8854 -a "Line 2"

You can either use a number or a unique part of the sound card name. Numbers
may change upon restarts,so it's best to use a name, except for initial testing.

If you use a bitrate other than 320 (the default), you have to tell the decoder
that! Use -b 384 to set it to 384 kbit/s, for example.
micrompx -c 8854 -a "Line 2" -b 384

Run MicroMPX with option -h (or --help) for a detailed list of options.

Press ENTER to exit... ^C

Great! I found it! Turns out (this is a very scary one) that the logging code can't handle strings that are more than 255 characters long. Your request code is longer than normal, which causes it to crash.

so why do we need this request code? how it is being generated?

You need it to buy a license. Anyway, we'll fix this, should be simple enough now we know what's wrong.

Hi Hans,

Thank you for the fix on the multiband clipper. I was able to set my clip levels with better ease. However, there's one thing that I noticed, and I'm not sure if this is by design or a slight oversight, but the Band Mix controls now seem to drive the clipper's input. Any band mix cut/boost will change the attentuation in the clippers respective to threshold. Previous to the addition of the clippers, the band mix controls only adjusted the output signal from the multiband compressor/limiter, basically to re-EQ the sound without adding more density. So from what I'm seeing now, the signal flow is; Limiter > Band Mix > Clipper. In the Quick Overview panel, it shows the flow as Limiter > Clipper > Band Mix. So I'm wondering, is the clipper supposed to be inserted after the band mix controls, or inserted before them? Probably before the band mix controls would be better?
