Thank you Bojcha and Hans for all these explanations.

In any case, the new bass clipper does an extraordinary job. This is for me a real advance in the development of my preset.

I fixed a crash like this a few days ago. Can you try 081? It doesn't happen here with the latest build.

Ok, LowQ is working in v81, but now the buffer is running low, even with 5s latency.

That's probably the CPU load. Can you give it more threads? (under Configuration -> CPU & Latency, on the right).

Got 4 threads running now, same result, I'm gonna install 8.54 again, and see if the problem remains :)

In first case you use wasapi and in second MME. Also try to use KS.

in all 3 modes the buffer is running low, in v8.54 this isn't happening. Also with 4 parallel threads

There is a separate setting for the number of low latency processing threads in the right column of the CPU & Latency page.

Before you change anything there, could you check what the **low latency** CPU load in 8.54 is?

On my end with the first preset I tried I see a small difference (31% vs 33%), that could be enough though if you were close to the edge in 8.54 already.
