I saw that the latest versions of ST Raspberry PI so I bought 3 IQaudio cards to try out. I cannot get any of them to work on:

Raspberry Pi - 4 8Gig
IQaudio DAC Pro - (with or without the XLR add-on board from IQaudio)
SD card image for Raspberry Pi 3/4/5 (new as of October 10th 2024).

The command line screen says"error failed to open sound card.

The GUI says "no sound cards found", I selected and rebooted after choosing "IQaudi0 DAC+, IQaudi0 DAC Pro"

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg, please try updating to the latest beta build of MicroMPX: https://download.thimeo.com/ThimeoPi64U ... 42-034.zip

There was an issue in the code that caused a settings file to not be written correctly, specifically for this sound card. Let me know if that helps, if not we might need to edit that file manually.

I have tried to use the PI updater before using the GUI screen but have never been successful.
Please describe the right way to run the updater.

Thx
Greg

Which GUI do you mean? The webUI or the native UI? If i'm not mistaken, one has to remote into the web UI and update it from within that when using the image. I can't find my Pi atm, but I believe this guide here should help you get your desired product installed. https://www.thimeo.com/how-to-use-the-r ... ard-image/

Hi,

- Download the updater .zip from our site
- Upload it to the Pi, under System info - Firmware (something like that anyway)

That should be all. Do you get an error message?

HVZ,

Yes, that worked for me on the web gui for the PI.

First time and now it recognizes the soundcard.

Is it OK to update in my other Pis that have HIFIBERRY cards?

Thx

Greg

Yes, go ahead. The new version should work without issues.
