Started to make preset that using natural dynamics and i think i have some nice results.
Also in same time i wanted to preserve 'openess' on every freq - except tightly controled and processed high end.
Need responce about sound and/or bad processed tracks, so i can continue tweaking.
Standalone version used (as usual)

Hi Bojcha, after testing it locally, I have decided to test it on our Livestream.

The dynamics are really impressive, but I think the mids are a bit too strong.

The best part is, that my ears don't seem to get tired from listening.

Looking forward to your tweaks ;)

Cheers!

Eh, I was afraid of that. I might open mids too much - upper mids i guess (?)

edit:
listening your stream..

The preset is good, but can be tweaked to sound much better. Most importantly I like the intended RMS output level.

It's nice observation, as Stereo Tool has bettered in the last couple of years, preset authors have been backing off the output levels, favouring more transparency.

Anyways about this preset, few things I would like to suggest:

1. Female vocals sound nice and soothing (Dash Berlin feat Emma Hewitt - Waiting). Males vocals sound dull.
2. As you already guessed upper mids are far more pronounced than needed. In less dense tracks this sounds good but in some others the instruments sound slightly harsh.
Surprisingly highs are somewhat suppressed - snares/cymbals/sibilances are not making impact at all.
3. Little more punch from bass in 30 - 80 Hz region.

What I described is more apparent in very densely mastered tracks like Spark7 & Sylvi - Armada Mixes Vol 6 - "Disappear". The tracks sound dull because of lack of highs and punch from bass.

Phoenix thanx for responce...

Downloaded both tracks...
tracks 1 from here - http://www16.zippyshare.com/d/44253865/ ... aiting.mp3
track 2 from here - http://mp3hamster.net/download.php?eq=e ... kxMTQyMSJ9
I can't find any male voice on track1 ?
track2 - exactly what i said.. i opened a bit too much upper mids so 'some' voices/instrumends (constant tone) came out bit louder. Actually this is problem for Natural dynamics.

Anyway.. i made some changes...

I heard the preset, without Natural Dynamics, because the CPU does not support it.
I think the problem mentioned by Phoenix continues, in the part of the highs, the mids seem to be correct (you may seem high, but I think it's the lack of sounds above 5 KHz).
EQ has too much attenuation in the highs. :)

That's the thing.. Natural Dynamics add that highs. :)

Is natural dynamics optimized only very little, or not at all? I have to drop to 2048, 50% quality, and disable a bunch of other stuff to even get it to work without skipping.
