This is a beta of a loudness-enabled preset for the "WEB RADIO STATIONS" preset section.

The preset is heavily derived from Purity Control.

The primary differences are:

- Higher AGC target output level
- Higher starting AGC level
- Faster AGC up speeds
- Significantly lower AGC gating
- Removal of Bass Boost
- Some clipping changes in multiband
- Reduced steepness in multiband to protect more against artifacts
- Inclusion of Final Clipper's volume reduction in addition to singleband compressor so that overall volume is reduced before going into Loudness.
- 3.50 dB of Loudness
- Tweaks in loudness to give mids and highs more priority.

Purity Control was aimed at retaining the soft intro sections that some tracks have, but Cobalt makes those quiet intro sections probably on the order of 3 dB louder. I hope this at least mostly addresses the concern that there is not a high volume from start to finish. If not, this is why it's a beta... ;)

I'm also debating bringing back down speeds on some or all bands in multiband. We'll see how it goes.

This is beta 2.

I still haven't brought back down speeds on the other 7 bands in multiband. I'm going to look into that over the next few days.

Changes in Beta 2:

- Increased preamp to x 6 (+15.50 dB)
- Increased AGC target output from -9 to -8.
- Increased gating from -30 to -24.66.
- Increased AGC band 3 drop from 60 to 66.
- Some noise gate slider changes (bumped up some).
- Raised multiband band 1 and 2 to give a bit more bass punch
- Raised multiband clipping levels, relying on Loudness to clip.
- Slight EQ drop for upper mids and highs
- Singleband compressor down from 67 to 50
- Final Clipper down from 83 to 80.
- Enabled Lossy Compression (pre-emphasis) at 12 us.
- Removed dirty mids and highs setting
- Set bass limit before loudness to 200% (max).
- Peak detection steepness to 0.25%
- Disabled Very deep bass distortion protection

Believe it or not, I actually had an even louder version at one point in time.

So, eventually this will be for "loud" / less dynamic range sound, while Purity Control will be for something with a larger dynamic range.

I'm almost ready for a release candidate, but due to the excessive CPU load of the most recent betas, I cannot proceed testing anything with respect to the new functionality being added until the CPU load is brought back down.

Release Candidate 1

Changes:

- Declipper enabled **
- Increased 90's style Stereo Boost
- Slight changes to AGC
- Noise Gate changes (increased band levels, but still 1%)
- Down speed added back to multiband, and other multiband tweaks
- Singleband compressor changes
- Phase rotation enabled
- Final Clipper volume increased from 0.83 to 0.93
- Loudness increased from 3.50 to 4.06
- Other tweaks in Loudness

Overall sound is between 0.5 and 0.8 dB softer than Beta 2. If it is desired, volume could be raised slightly by increasing Final Clipper up to 0.95.

** Due to using an older system, the CPU load is too high for me to test everything else when the declipper is enabled, so I have not tested this with the declipper enabled, but it should be OK.
