This was not done for FM broadcast as most of my other presets. The aim was to produce crisp & powerful sound. Bass frequencies are boosted (especially lower ones) and compressors were carefully calibrated to avoid distortion. Some focus on treble too: gain is high around starting with 2.8 KHz. Adding high gain to ~ 3 KHz makes the sound cleared, as it's the frequency for human sounds 'S' and 'SH'. Medium frequencies are a bit compressed and clipped, because that's where the human ear is most sensitive. Overall, nice for every-day listening, it provides a reasonably loud volume and high-dynamics. Good for both headphone usage and high-power amplifiers. PS: The input quality also counts... remember : garbage in > garbage out.

This is a really nice preset. I haven't used many of the ones on here yet, but this is one of the first I downloaded and already I'm really impressed with the sound it's giving me. Thanks for sharing! |
