Stereo Tool

I'm with Bojcha on this one. When I started with Stereo Tool, I was determined to try to mimic a processor, but be louder and cleaner.

If you clear your mind of all the old processors you used and go into Stereo Tool with a mindset of what sound you want to accomplish, you'll probably come up with your best work.

Early on, it was Bojcha's presets and work that inspired me to find a better way.

Recently I've tweaked and added something to the old Impact MX preset.
I've added True Bass + MB2 + IB and Noise Gate, and lowered the Clipper drive.

Oh, yes, really like it. I lowered the threshold on AGC a bit (-13 dB) to make the compression less aggressive.

It is a really nice preset. But since I run a web radio, which should sound a bit more modern & pleasant, I like it when the Old Multiband runs rather so smoothly. So I adjusted the multiband compressor a bit. Music sounds Really Super, must say. I am a fan of it. Only I have a problem: I have a scratching on low music. Especially on chill out music. I made an example on a Windows sound, there you can hear it quite clearly.

These setting are really nice fine for home use might be a few db to loud for internet radio use. If really these settings but want it a few db quiter check out this settings

IMO SoundReturn by Gap is the best setting overall it it has a good mix of everything version 4 is the best viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22849

Orban 8600 MX is like 2 to 4 db louder and mids and highs are 20% more than SoundReturn which might a little to loud for some people

SoundReturn my suggestions for improvement increase bass 8% to 10% mid and highs 10% increase volume 1 to 2 db

Something is wrong with Sound Return V4, the audio up and down all time, the fault is annoying.

Orban 8600 MX preset sounds really bad with the latest StereoTool version (9.90). It seems that the latests changes in the Advanced Clippe is the cause. I've reset the values with the default Advanced Clipper settings and I think that is ok now

I have run SoundReturn on my internet radio station for like 4 years now without any problems. Maybe the problems your having are with the newest version of Stereo Tool with changes to the advanced clipper.
