Do you have issues with tilt when you receive the MPX stream?

No tilt issues, Mplayer reconnect through Scripting.

Hi,does mpx pass through streaming? All raunning at local lan,Because i have tried this setup with no success

Encoding Site:Raspberry Pi3 model b--> Audio > Stereo Tool > FlacEncoder (liquidsoap) > Icecast server
Decoding Site:Raspberry Pi3 model b--> Mplayer > Cirrus Logic Audio Card out > Exciter

At radio 19khz pilot light up but no stereo no rds only mono sound.
Can somebody help?

If i try line out from the encoding site to my exciter all works fine.

First of all make sure *everything* in the path from raspi to raspi is set to a high enough samplerate (e.g. 192kHz).

Hi, i know that but which is the way that it could be done? Both raspbi have external audio card 192khz,i have try streaming flac with liquidsoap to an Icecast server but with no success. Till 44.1Khz i have stereo pilot but no stereo and of course no RDS,when i try up to 44.1Khz samplerate nothing happens and i loose even stereo pilot.
Each one rasberry with stereo tool works but how could it be streamed this from the one the other?

Hey Radio700!

I'm trying to do the same thing that you're doing very nicely - flac stream via icecast, carrying MPX - then later I can just have a raspberry pi at my tx site!!.

If I play your stream on my test setup, I get your RDS on my receiver, I just can't get mine working :(

Hoping you can offer some advice... how are you feeding audio in and out of stereo tool? Are you using liquid soap? I'm trying to have liquid soap take my non-mix MP3 stream and output as pcm to a named pipe, stereotool then takes this and outputs to another named pipe, which is read backing in by liquid soap and streamed to icecast as ogg/flac.

The latest beta of Stereo Tool has much better I/O support (including ALSA etc), it basically works the same as the Windows version now. So that might help... you just need to find a way to capture the output audio and stream that.

By the way, it is also possible to run ALL of Stereo Tool on a Pi 3. So that might also be a solution. If you only run the stereo/rds/composite clipper stuff it should have no problem at all handling it. (I have succesfully ran a complete FM preset including declipping and everything on a Pi 3 here - I did have to set the latency to 2048 and Quality to 70%, but if you do this with only the clipper it should work fine. Just make sure you have some extra cooling).

It works via Virtual Cable on windows server 2012 and a piece of custom written software who puts the PCM Samples into FLAC 192 kHz Mono and sends them to Icecast.

@radio700 do you think you could share that software that converts 192khz audio into flac?
