Post subject:  Raspberry PI3B + VLC + Stereotool ALSA: almost there...
HI All, after some trials I manage to get this "working"

1- PI3B with HiFi_Berry DAC+
2- VLC on Raspbian
3- Stereotool for ALSA

On Raspbian I set a loopback interface at 48000 Hz sample rate
VLC is set to send output to this loopback interface
Stereotool has the Input card set to this Loopback interface and sample rate aligned to 48KHz
Stereotool has the Output card set to HiFi Berry DAC+

the "chain " works but the buffers get empty very soon, or at least this is what I believe is happening considering the graphics from ST.

Stereotool for ALSA is started "as is", no parameters.

There is a lot of GUI, VLC is in GUI, ST is in GUI, I am in XRDP with the PI etc....

Any hint about how to make this work ok ? or am I putting my PI under too much pressure? See attached ST screenshot

If someone can assist I appreciate. using dstat tools I do not see CPU running over 75% so I do not hink it's a CPU issue.

How do I set properly the parameters for Stereotool ALSA? Here is what I get whtn I start it from CLI - I need to load a default profile or sample rate, and the rest I do not know what the issues might be with the messages

I got it working stable with Latency 4096 samples and Quality 50%...

If someone can see hot this can get anyway improved I appreciate
