I know I've seen a discussion of this, I just can't recall if it was on these forums or elsewhere like Facebook...

I know it's possible to use two instances of ST (with the same license) as part of an STL for FM broadcast. Please fill in the details for me.

So at the studio, ST part 1 (without the MPX/FM/RDS etc.) would feed the STL, then
At the transmitter, ST part 2 would receive the audio sent by the STL, and "complete" the processing including MPX/FM/RDS.

Which features/processes would happen at part 1 v. part 2?
Clearly part 2 needs a pro sound card, what about part 1?

And for my purposes, assume the STL is IP based, like a Barix 500 or 1000.

You only need "part2".

Another newbie idea: If I were to decide to use a Telos Prostream to send the Studio part of the STL via IP, to be received by Stereo Tool on the Transmitter Side... Should I? How would I configure them?

<<Oh, never mind, apples and oranges. The Prostream is specifically for streaming including very nice processing, likely wouldn't fit for an STL. Apologies.>>
