Build is running now (takes a while, since I'm building it on the Pi itself - so this can easily take 1-2 hours, and if there's an error I need to restart it).

amazing. I already deployed 12 Rpi's and am feeding the local FM transmitters via them. They do local news/commercial insertions. Will experiment to see how much of audio processing they could do on top.

Is there a particularly complicated setting that I should test the limits with?

Hm, I tested with Jack and a player that was also running on the same device, and that might not have helped with getting a good throughput. You're saying that many of the presets work *in real time*? Are these Generic presets, Web/HD presets or FM presets?

You should be able to hear whether ST is working or not if you're listening to the output.

I'm going to run a test here now to see how fast mine is...

On my Pi2 it's really *much* slower than realtime.

How did you run your test? Can you check that the audio is actually being processed?

That's what I am really concerned about. Is it being processed?

How can I double-check that it is being processed? Is there a pre-set that has frequent nagging reminders? Or a pre-set that sounds so obviously different that I can't be mistaken it gets processed?

Just set one slider completely wrong (for example, set Post Amp way above 0 dB) and you should hear it immediately.
