This was taken at 5:31 AM US Eastern time and the local clock seems to be off 30 minutes. and i'm sure the UTC clock is off by an hour too, how can this be corrected when the computer is synced to a windows time server?

this is a testing environment, thankfully i've not got the transmitter yet, this is just soundcard to soundcard testing

This has been reported before, and until now I don't understand what's happening. Earlier, I was using the time zone info that Windows gave me, and it worked fine in all 32 bit Windows versions but not in 64 bits Windows. Then, I rewrote the code to fetch the GMT and local time, and I calculate the difference. That fixed the issue for everyone who had reported the earlier issue... but you're the 2nd person who's reporting this 30 minute shift, which makes no sense at all. (Uhm... just checking... You ARE using the latest version right? Otherwise you might be having that old problem).

Please tell me which Windows version you use, and which Stereo Tool binary (version, bits, plugin/stand alone).

Note: For now, I would just turn Clock off in the RDS settings, it won't broadcast the time at all then.

Seeing similar +30min issue here 7.60 ST-SA, Win7/64.

When I first turned on 'Clock Time" last night (ST had already been running for weeks), the correct local time was broadcast. Watched it across an hour - all ok. The ST RDS panel also correctly showed the time zone offset. eg " 2015/02/14 09:10 + xx:00".

Next morning the local RDS broadcast time was + 30mins fast. ST RDS panel showed the wrong time zone offset. eg "0215/02/15 22:22 + xx:30"

Hope this helps.

Ow. It might. Maybe I have an error which occurs only if the localtime and GMT time are not on the same day. I don't think I've tested that, and here the difference is only 1 hour so chances are that I wouldn't have noticed it. Will look into it!

I was thinking the same thing Hans, as it makes sense given my time zone, and is reproducible as follows;

I set pc clock to a random early morning time, the RDS time is wrong by +30 mins.
I set pc clock to a random afternoon time, the RDS time is correct.

Cheers AJ.

Ah sorry, I see I didn't respond here (this question popped up in multiple places, among others under bug reports) - I found the cause and fixed it, it will be ok in the next release (it's ok in the current beta's). For now, I would suggest to turn it off....
