When using Micro MPX for a single frequency network, what's the best way to make sure the pilot is synchronized at all sites? In our case, ST sends out uMPX from the studio to 2 transmitters, which gets decoded by PCs using ASI-5810 cards. The MPX audio is sent to each respective Nautel transmitter by MPX over AES. Since each sound card generates its own internal 192kHz frequency, I would imagine that the both pilots are not operating at precisely the same frequency. Is there a way to sync the sound cards to a common reference frequency? Or is this unnecessary?

I think for the SFN case everything has to be synchronised, and not just the pilot. There is no way to do this yet. We have a working solution in the lab, though. This allows syncing the streams to a GPS clock, keeping them exactly synchronised. However this will require some extra hardware, a.o. a GPS receiver.

Thanks Mathjis! At this point we have the transmitter carriers sync'd to GPS, but looking for a way to sync pilot and audio. Any idea what hardware I can get to be ready for when you release the Micro MPX with GPS sync?

You'll need an ASIO-capable soundcard (but the ASI supports that). The GPS PPS pulses will have to be fed back into the soundcard to make this solution work. So you'll need an input that can be opened together with the output (full-duplex). We're still thinking about further hardware requirements as this is not a trivial thing to do.
