Is there such a filter in ST? A recent FB post strongly suggested that for a low power FM, turning such a filter on would improve 50dBu/fringe signals when generating MPX. Note, NOT the main carrier signal. If so , please point it to me and suggested settings if not on/off. |

You can use the "Center Bass" in Processing -> Stereo -> Stereo Image. The low frequencies will be monophonic. Maybe you earn a little bit less MPX power. |

Thank you! I think this affects the main signal which I don't believe was the idea... I tried it anyway, don't think it made much difference either way. |

you are looking to filter-process only the MPX portion of the sound, to remove low frequencies below a set point ? yes, i am sure it can be done, it doesnt currently exist though. perhaps an adjustable high/low pass filter for MPX would work but you have to think about how this might alienate the sound to those listening depending on what frequency you want to cut. |

thats only effective if those low frequencies on MPX (i believe the filter high cutoff is 200Hz) are out of phase which is rare.what hes wanting is a low/high pass filter only for MPX. |
