Post subject:  AM lowpass, bandpass filter settings

Hi, I am a new user purchaser of Stereo Tools. I tried the trial version for a few months on a part 15 transmitter and was sold and got it registered with the declipper which is awesome.

I have a question in is it possible to increase the lowpass filter past what is defaulted in the AM mode? When I select the AM Transmitter feature in the config it defaults to around 5K. Can this value be increased to closer to 10K while keeping it in AM mode with its pre-emphasis and downmix to mono features? I tried to vary the bandwidth with the bandpass filter settings but it seems that it is disabled when AM mode is selected and makes no difference in the transmitted bandwidth.

If not possible then guess I have to go with an Inovonics 222 that i have here sitting. Take ST off of AM mode and use the 222 for its built in 10K bandpass and preemphasis. :?:

Thanks for any advise and thanks to Stereo Tool. :)

I have to answer this myself. After some reading here, I found out about the operating mode selection and "Advanced" operating mode in the configuration tab. Well the answer to my question is there and I now have control over the lowpass brickwall filter in the AM mode. The 222 will stay sitting on the shelf for now. ;)

Hm, I should change the default setting to 10 kHz. In Europe the channel spacing is 9 kHz and max frequency is 4.5 kHz. In the US, channel spacing is 10 kHz so I always assumed that the max frequency was 5 kHz, but they allow stations to be wider there (I didn't know that when I first implemented it). Will change the default value.

Edit: Not that simple (since I don't know if you're in the US). So I made the setting available in Basic mode instead.
